How to Properly Lock Your Windows

Some residents have been having a hard time knowing if the windows are properly locked.  Here is a guide to know how to properly lock them.  Our building's windows are designed as such a properly locked window cannot be opened without damage.

Painting Delayed, Again

The bad news: the painting crew, all related to each other, had a death in the family.  Painting will be delayed one more week.  The good news: they are crediting us $450 for the inconvenience.

Pest Control Every 2nd Saturday of the Month

The common areas of our building are inspected for pests the second Saturday of every month by Sentry Pest Control.  At that time, they will do unit inspections at the unit owner's request for a charge of $8.  Call Sentry directly (773) 463-6800 to set up your inspection for the discounted second Saturday at least two days in advance.

If you have an immediate problem in your unit, you are highly encouraged to call a pest control company and make an immediate appointment.  Be aware that unit owners are responsible for pest control within their unit.

Yard Sale Coming

One of our fellow unit owners has suggested we do a yard sale.  The Board all agreed that it was a good idea.  Tom is going to talk to the Alderman's office to see what we need to do.  This is Chicago, after all.  I'm sure there is a City process for this.

We are looking at the Saturday after Labor Day, September 11th.  We will let you know as soon as we firm up the process with the City.

Each owner or resident will be responsible for putting out, selling, and cleaning up their own items.
